AAFSW/FBS Thanksgiving Luncheon: November 15

AAFSW / FBS
Thanksgiving Luncheon
Wednesday, November 15
11:30 a.m.
Residence in Vienna, VA

Dear Friends,

AAFSW and the Foreign-Born Spouses cordially invite you to celebrate with us the traditions of Thanksgiving with a delicious luncheon at the Vienna, VA residence of one of our members on Wednesday, November 15 at 11:30 a.m.

We will provide the turkey and side dishes which are traditional for the Thanksgiving celebration, and we will share the cost of the feast among all the guests. Please bring cash.

Thanksgiving Day is a very important celebration in United States where families and friends get together and have a great feast with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce, and some other delicious food, and of course Football–as well as prayers of gratitude for prosperity and freedom.

Let’s review our knowledge about the traditions. We will have a trivia game, questions and answers and have fun. We will be delighted if you dress up, and describe your costume character. Let’s make it a fun celebration.

RSVP to AAFSW office@aafsw.org  by Sunday, November 12 to get directions.

Some Thanksgiving questions:

1.- How Many towns in the US take their name from the traditional Thanksgiving bird?
2.-Why did the pilgrims celebrate Thanksgiving?

We look forward to seeing you.

Warmest regards,
