Volunteer with AAFSW, Make a Difference!

AAFSW, established in 1960, is a community support organization dedicated to serving the needs of Foreign Service, Civil Service employees, Eligible Family Members (EFMS), Members of Jousehold (MOH), and retirees. 

Volunteering with AAFSW is a rewarding way to give back, connect with like-minded individuals, and make a positive impact on the Foreign Service community. Whether you are passionate about sharing your experience, connecting people, organizing events, supporting evacuees, or helping with fundraising efforts, there is a place for you on our team.

Current Volunteer Opportunities:

• Evacuations: Assist during times of crisis by providing critical support to U.S Misions abroad under Authorized Departure or Ordered Departure.

• Book Fair: Contribute to one of our largest fundraisers by helping with logistics, sales, and organization.

• Board of Directors: Run for a position on our board (elections are held every two years; you must be a member of AAFSW to run for a board position).

• Events: Help plan and execute engaging programs that bring our community together ( in-person and virtual).
